With over 15 years’ experience, Altern has been involved in several unique projects related to the design and installation of LED Lighting Systems and Photovoltaic Systems. Other fields of expertise lie within Energy Auditing, Energy Management, Battery Storage, and Electro-Mobility. The Altern Team is currently looking to reinforce its growing team.
Technical Office Administrator
Altern Limited is seeking a proactive and well-organised Technical Office Administrator to provide administrative and coordination support to our management, engineering and technical teams. The position is part-time, for apprxiamtely 20 hours per week, primarily during weekday mornings. The successful candidate will act as a link between management, engineers, technicians, customers and suppliers. Key responsibilities include:
- Provide day-to-day administrative support to the engineering and technical teams.
- Assist in maintaining organised project, customer and technical documentation.
- Prepare, format and file quotations, reports, technical documents, certificates and other project-related documentation.
- Perform day-to-day accounts and finance tasks.
- Assist with the preparation and administration of tenders and project submissions.
- Maintain records relating to projects, installations, maintenance activities, warranties and equipment.
- Assist engineers with obtaining and organising information required for projects.
- Assist in keeping information up to date within the company's internal systems
- Assist with diary management, meetings, appointments and reminders.
- Manage incoming correspondence, telephone calls, statements, and enquiries
- Assist with general office organisation and administration.

Requirements
All applicants are expected to be:
- Highly organised, methodical and attentive to detail.
- Competent in Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook, Word and Excel.
- Competent in accounts and financial matters.
- Fluent in written and spoken Maltese and English
- Proactive and comfortable taking ownership of tasks and following them through to completion.
- Confident communicating with customers, suppliers, engineers and technicians.
- Able to manage several tasks and priorities simultaneously.
- Reliable, professional and discreet.
